The Best Travel Destinations for Blacks

The pandemic has all of us reeling. It has affected every industry, including travel. But Blacks are staying strong, and there are still a number of great destinations they can travel to after this pandemic is over. Here are some of the best travel destinations for Blacks this 2021 and onwards.

Montreal, Canada

Dubbed as the Paris of Canada, Montreal is a haven for tourists looking to satisfy their gastronomic palates. It is also a popular destination for sports fans and shopaholics. From stunning architectural structures to popular city attractions, Montreal never fails to amaze its doting tourists. It is even a perfect destination for Blacks due to the strong presence of the Caribbean and Black African culture in its roots.

Some of the most well-known tourist sites in Montreal where Blacks can enjoy themselves without fear of aggression include Notre Dame Basilica, Place Jacques-Cartier, and the Pointe-à-Callière Museum.

Ghana

Any Afro-lifestyle magazine would agree that Ghana is one of the best destinations for black travel. Ghana provides Blacks with easier requirements for visa applications and culturally immersive activities all year round. Ghanaian politicians are also advocates of the pan-African movement, so Blacks can be sure to go around the countryside with no aggression at all.

Must-visit places when in Ghana include the city of Accra, which is Ghana’s capital. The city welcomes tourists with its fusion of modern culture and historical sites. One of the most popular destination within the city is Kwame Nkrumah Memorial Park. Blacks can also enjoy Ghanaian festivals such as the Afrochella and PANAFEST, which celebrate the achievements of African people.

Belize

Awesome water adventures, a taste of Caribbean food, and an immersion into the Creole culture are some of the explorations that await Afro-travelers in Belize. Those who want to enjoy the beach can visit the island of Caye Caulker, a small but alluring island off the coast of Belize. The island offers a wide variety of water activities that include jet-skiing, diving, kayaking, and cliff jumping.

For Blacks who want to immerse themselves in Afro-Belizean culture, the Gulisi Garifuna Museum is a good choice. In this museum, they can take a peek at the traditions and culture of the indigenous people called the Garifuna.

Antigua

The welcoming smiles of the locals in this part of the Caribbean region, as well as the pristine beaches and relaxed culture of the people, make this destination an island paradise for Blacks. Some of the most popular tourist sites in this part of the globe are Half Moon Bay, Stingray City, Dickenson Bay, Nelson’s Dockyard National Park, Devil’s Bridge, and the Museum of Antigua and Barbuda.

Tourists may also want to see the Darby Cave in Barbuda, which is one of the country’s most intriguing features. As opposed to its name, the Darby Cave is actually a sinkhole that is more than 100 meters in diameter and is alive with lush foliage within its length. The flourishing vegetation inside the cave resembles that of a forest, with tall palmetto palms, ferns, and dense vegetation of lianas tracing around tree trunks.

Botswana

Located in Southern Africa, Botswana is home to welcoming people who are open to mingling with foreigners who want to experience their culture. With its economy dominated mainly by mining, cattle raising, and tourism, it welcomes its tourists with vast water trails and national parks.

Some of the most popular tourist destinations in this country include the Chobe National Park, Okavango Delta, Nxai Pan National Park, Tuli Block, and Tsodilo Hills.

In Dubai, popular destinations include the Dubai Mall, Dubai Museum, Al Fahidi Quarter, and Souks of Deira. The Dubai Frame is also a site to visit, as well as the Dubai Creek and Al Seef District.

For first-time travelers, these places in Portugal are highly recommended: Lisbon, Faro, and Porto.
